Ideal for couples, families, photographers, and nature lovers who want a comfortable and memorable rainforest experience tailored to their interests.

Trek Itinerary

Your private trekking experience begins in the morning with a short briefing from your local guide about the trekking route, safety guidelines, and wildlife observation practices inside Gunung Leuser National Park. After preparation, you will enter the rainforest and start walking through natural jungle trails surrounded by tropical trees and rich biodiversity.

During the trek, your guide will help you explore deeper areas of the forest while adjusting the pace based on your comfort and interests. Along the route, there is a good chance to observe Sumatran orangutans in their natural habitat, as well as other wildlife such as Thomas leaf monkeys, long-tailed macaques, hornbill birds, and various tropical plants used in traditional medicine.

Throughout the journey, you will stop at scenic viewpoints and resting spots inside the rainforest where your guide shares information about the ecosystem and conservation efforts in Gunung Leuser National Park. The flexible nature of the private trek allows more time for wildlife observation and photography compared to group trekking programs.

Depending on the trekking duration you choose, the experience may include deeper forest exploration or a relaxing return route through jungle paths near the Bohorok River before finishing the trek safely at the village area.
